Redhead vs Blonde: The Ultimate Provider Showdown

Why do so many providers report making more money while having blonde locks? Does the girlish naiveite symbolized by bleached hair equate to men finding blondes to be, well, more fun? I have asked this question of a few providers and the results are in: blonde is the breadwinner.

So what's with the growing prevalence of ginger-haired providers?

Hair color is one of the most defining characteristics of a person's physical appearance and is one of the main ways in which we categorize others. I would love to know which hair color is most frequently searched on Eros, Tryst.link and other provider directories. Sadly, I have a feeling it is... blonde. Then possibly ladies with black hair after blondes? Then redheads?

How important is hair color to a provider's business?

Thing is, guys that like redheads, REALLY like redheads. So it all evens out in the end. Personally, I think that redhead lovers are often creative and sensitive guys. They are either extremely confident or a bit shy. But I've often wondered if I'd be better off financially as a blonde.

There are all sorts of negative terms, like "redheaded step child" that highlight the negative image redheads have obtained within the popular zeitgeist. According to Psychlogy Today, "a massive consensus appears to exist on which hair color is preferred, revealing such severe prejudice associated with the tint of your locks, that the preference could border on racial discrimination."

A study was done in which women wore brown, black, blonde and red wigs to a bar. Blondes were approached the most and redheads were the least approached. I hesitate to compare this to racial discrimination. The discrimination definitely exists but there's nothing wrong with having hair color preferences.

One study found that blonde waitresses make more money which obviously supports the hypothesis that blondes make more bread. Another study concludes that, "The scarcity of red-haired individuals in the population and negative stereotypes associated with red hair are used to explain the negative effect of red hair" which explains that "redheaded stepchild" trope.

Femme gingers are often seen as domineering, a feature many men find to be unattractive. But the stereotype also is that redheads are obviously "fiery" and passionate in bed. This is obviously an attractive idea to many men.

Furthermore, more and more providers are popping up with red hair. I'm floored by the rising number of new gorgeous redheaded ladies I've seen in the SW community within the last few years. Natural redheads like me makeup only 1% of the population on this poo-poo-hair-color dominated planet so I know most of these stunning gingers are not REAL redhead escorts like yours truly.

The curtains do not, in all actuality, match the drapes.

But who wants matchy-matchy anyway? Variety is the spice of life.

A commonality has arisen amongst redheaded providers: we often are queer and offer queer kink or domme experiences (myself included). Something about red hair says "sassy" "deviant" "ferocious" and I guess the gays are really into that sort of thing. (Gays, please book me! x0)

You don't see the girl-next-door, totally vanilla types doing red often.

But the question really is: If red is the least attractive hair color then why are so many providers opting into the fiery experience? Why is it that, say, 8 years ago, providers with red locks were much rarer?

Someone with the time should do a study on the representation of gingers in the media because I have a feeling that redheaded representation has increased generally in popular culture. It's a sexy, hot choice to go red today when 10 years ago, there really weren't as many redheads on TV and movies.

Therefore, many providers go the red route.

Tell me your thots and opinions on my social medias! And don't forget: everyone is beautiful, even poo-poo-colored heads 💕
